Gazungle’s recommended Virtual Terminal and Gateway provider is Authorize.Net, a widely known and respected product in the E-commerce industry. Authorize.Net’s global payment solutions ensure both speed and security providing scalability to your business by supporting an unlimited number of transactions for any business type.
Authorizing transactions is easy, you simply fill out and submit the securely encrypted form that will supply Authorize.Net with the information it requires to complete the transaction. Once this information is received, an authorization number will be sent back to the merchant and the transaction is stored in the Authorize.Net server. These transactions will be automatically batched at the end of each day and the money transferred to your account within 2-3 days.
Setting up Authorize.Net is simple! Just apply for a Gazungle Merchant Account today, and when your approval is confirmed one of our Ecommerce Specialists will integrate the Authorize.Net Payment Gateway to your website absolutely free of charge!
Your Authorize.Net account offers a host of services, including:
Automated Recurring Billing
Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) is a convenient and easy-to-use tool for submitting and managing recurring, or subscription-based, transactions. You can take advantage of ARB’s flexible features to enhance customer service and build customer loyalty, while reducing authorization declines and overall administrative costs.
ARB provides multiple methods for creating subscriptions. Simply create a subscription in the Merchant Interface that includes the customer’s payment information, a billing amount, and payment schedule. Or allow your online customers to choose installment payments from your custom payment form when you integrate your Web site directly to our ARB application programming interface (API). ARB does the rest, generating subsequent transactions based on the schedule provided.
Advanced Integration Method (AIM) Implementation Guide
AIM is Authorize.Net’s recommended connection method and offers the most secure and flexible integration. AIM allows merchants to host their own secure payment form and send transactions to the payment gateway using an end-to-end secure sockets layer (SSL) connection. AIM is the required connection method for shopping cart developers participating in the Authorize.Net Guide for AIM.
Server Integration Method (SIM) Implementation Guide
SIM uses scripting techniques to authenticate transactions with a unique transaction fingerprint. SIM provides a customizable, secure hosted payment form to make integration easy for Web merchants that do not have an SSL certificate. The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway can handle all the steps in the secure transaction process — payment data collection, data submission and the response to the customer — while keeping Authorize.Net virtually transparent.
Merchant Integration Guide
The Merchant Interface at https://secure.authorize.net is a secure Web site where your merchants can manage their payment gateway account, submit manual transactions, configure account settings, and more. The Merchant Integration Guide focuses on the settings available in the Merchant Interface for configuring your merchant’s Web site connection to the payment gateway.
The Merchant Integration Guide was created with merchants in mind. But it can be very useful to developers as well, especially if you have a test account or have access to your merchants’ payment gateway accounts for integration purposes. The guide provides valuable information and serves as a companion guide to both the AIM and SIM Developer Guides.
Automated Recurring Billing – Application Programming Interface (API) Guide
For merchants enabled for the Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) service, the additional ARB API feature supports integration with a Web site payment form or a proprietary business application—allowing online customers or sales representatives using a business application to select and submit subscription- or installment-based payments.
Customer Information Manager (CIM) – API Guide
The Authorize.Net Customer Information Manager (CIM) allows merchants to create customer profiles that are stored on Authorize.Net’s secure servers. By providing quick access to stored customer information, CIM is ideal for businesses that:
The CIM API supports integration with a Web site payment form or a proprietary business application. The profiles, which include payment and shipping information, can then be referenced in future transactions, eliminating steps in the transaction process for repeat customers and potentially increasing customer loyalty.
