Support SUPPORT

Gazungle is improving PCI compliance and hosting services by integrating with Dynamic Net for web hosting and support services. Dynamic Net is the same partner that has been supplying your service quietly in the background from the start so your control panel login and website runs exactly the same. This change should be completely transparent to you. The only apparent change will be to your web hosting invoice where it will read "Dynamic Net".
  • For web development, design or SEO please continue to call Gazungle for all your needs.

6. Domain Names

6.1 What is a domain name?
Domain names are the familiar, easy to remember names for computers on the Internet (such as internic.net). They correspond to a series of numbers (called Internet Protocol numbers) that serve as routing addresses on the Internet. Domain names are used generally as a convenient way of locating information and reaching others on the Internet.
6.2 What does "register a domain name" mean?
The Internet domain name system (DNS) consists of a directory, organized hierarchically, of all the domain names and their corresponding computers registered to particular companies and persons using the Internet. When you register a domain name, it will be associated with the computer on the Internet you designate during the period the registration is in effect.
6.3 What is involved in registering a domain name in .com, .net or .org?
To register a domain name, you will be asked to provide the registrar you select with the various contact and technical information that makes up the registration. Gazungle will guide you through the process, and will make it extremely easy. Gazungle will automatically contact the registrar, who will then keep records of the contact information and submit the technical information to a central directory known as the "registry." This registry provides other computers on the Internet the information necessary to send you e-mail or to find your web site. You will also be required to enter a registration contract with the registrar, which sets forth the terms under which your registration is accepted and will be maintained.
6.4 Will my name and contact information be publicly available?
Yes. Information about who is responsible for domain names is publicly available to allow rapid resolution of technical problems and to permit enforcement of consumer protection, trademark, and other laws. The registrar will make this information available to the public on a "Whois" site.
6.5 How long does a domain name registration last? Can it be renewed?
Gazungle provides you with the ability to register and renew the domain registrations in one-year increments, with a total registration period limit of ten years.
6.6 How much does a domain name registration cost?
The prices vary depending on the plan you select.
6.7 How long does it take to register or transfer a domain name?
It will take you just a few minutes to register a domain, but it might not be available on the Internet for up to 48 hours. This is due to the fact that Internet DNS databases are updated only once a day, causing the delay.

7. Merchant Account

7.1 What is a Merchant Account?
Your Merchant Account is an account that a business owner has with the bank in order to accept credit card payments from customers. The bank collects funds from the credit card purchasers and deposits the funds in the merchant's bank account. Once you get your merchant account set up you can start to accept credit cards from your customers!
7.2 How does it Work?
To be competitive in today's marketplace your business needs a merchant account, to accept and process credit card or debit card transactions. This process authenticates a valid card, authorizes the funds availability, and then the settlement secures the transfer of funds from your customers account to your account. These merchant services incur a monthly fee and a transaction fee, which are standard throughout the industry. the Merchant Resource Kit™ with Terminal supplies you with the hardware and support setting up your merchant account. With a 98% approval rate, the best transaction rates and a low monthly fee you'll be accepting credit cards in no time.
7.3 Why should I accept Credit Cards?
TO INCREASE YOUR SALES!
- Credit card customers will purchase more merchandise
- You will sell more higher priced items
- You will increase impulse buying
- You never have to turn customers away to your competition
back to top
7.4 What is required?
Legal Requirements are:
- US Bank Account
- US Physical Address
- US Tax ID / SS#
- Must be 18 or older
7.5 What do all these fees and rates mean to me?
Discount Rate - A fixed percentage taken from every transaction. Swiping a card will incur a lower rate than keying because you are capturing the physical data on the card and seeing your customer, which can both prevent fraud.

Transaction Fee - A fixed charge incurred anytime you run a transaction (including batches). If you sell lots of low priced items, you will need a lower transaction fee.

Monthly Fees - There is always a monthly fee usually called a customer service fee. However, you can sometimes be charged a statement fee as well if you get your statements mailed to you.

Monthly Minimum - If you do not process any transactions, you will incur a monthly minimum. If your fees in discount rates don't add up to the minimum, you will be charged the difference. If you process over the minimum, you don't have to pay any extra fees.

7.6 What is a secure payment gateway and a secure socket layer?
Secure Payment Gateway companies help other Processors conduct secure business on the internet using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

They provide a system that passes credit card data, authorization requests, and authorization responses over the internet using encryption technology.

The transaction information is sent by the Payment Gateway secure server via leased line to the credit card network where the validity of the card is checked and the availability of funds on that account is verified. An authorization code is returned via leased line to the Payment Gateway; the authorization is encrypted by the Payment Gateway and transmitted in encrypted form to the web server of the merchant, which triggers fulfillment of the order.

Rather than try and create their own Secure Web System, many Banks and Bank/Processor alliances will use a Secure Payment Gateway Provider to perform this task for them.
7.7 What is the difference between real-time processing and offline processing?
Real-Time Processing means that when a web site's customer conducts an online purchase, that the check or credit card information is conveyed to the Processor at that exact time so that an authorization can be requested and received at that moment. Real-Time Processing always implies that a Secure Payment Gateway is being utilized, whether proprietary or third party. Offline processing means that the check or credit card information is verified after the transaction has been entered.
